Research

I have been making final little bits of research, and this includes how many pages are in any magazines especially pop magazines in order to make a realistic music magazine i wouldn't be able to just have 15 pages, therefore picking 50 makes it a little bit more realistic.Page numbers vary depending on the magazine so 50 seems like a good  number.

I have also done a bit more research on the pop magazines. and from this research i have to change a few little bits and pieces. The first thing is the fact that i need a URL on the front cover. As well as changing the page numbers on the contents page and the double page spread because they are incorrect as it says on my contents page that the interview is on pages 6-7

Planning

The colour scene is going to change, the pink is going to stay because it's the obvious colour for a teenage girls magazine. I have decided to change the background to black. The reason for these changes is because of the photos I have been taking of Jade.

The colour scheme throughout the magazine is Pink, Black and White.

Planning

I have decided to make some slight changes after receiving some feedback from the people in my class. After having a lesson on feedback, my class was able to look at my magazine and advise me with what could be different.

The first thing which they have said was that the font was a little bit too country and old fashioned type which really did not suite my magazine , therefore the first thing to do was to find a much simpler font which suited my genre of music magazines.

The second problem which i have also agreed with was the fact that the cover star picture on the magazine did not look as effective because of the way it was cut out from its original background. And this was the time where people advised me to use a black background. I was not sure to use a black background
because the pop magazines which i have been research all had very light coloured backgrounds. However after trying it out, i realised that my magazine look a lot better with the black background because Jade stood out and the photography was very successful. Having a black background on the front means that i would have to carry on the colour scheme onto the contents page and the double page spread. This also looked very good. I had to make a few slight changes like chaning the font colour, and making everything stand out on the black background.

Development

My next step is to receive feedback from the people in my class about my magazine so far. I would like to receive criticism because i know that this will make me know what to improve on on my magazine.

This will encourage me to make changes which will improve and develop my magazine. I'm hoping to make big changes because at the moment there is a lot of little things which in my opinion should be improved.

Drafting

Now that the changes have been made and i am ready to start officially planning my magazine,i have started to slowly draft the Front Cover, Contents page and the double page spread. This is just the start of my planning and drafting of my magazine. I have decided to use PagePlus for my magazine.

Planning

As mentioned before I have been thinking about my magazine and the type of genre it is, it's obviously pop and therefore it has to be aimed at the younger type of audience. After looking thorough the pictures I took of Deanna, which was the main artist, I have realised that she may be a little bit serious for my magazine.

Here are the photos i have took of jade:
As you can see the photo's start to get better as i have been making changes to the way i position myself when taking the photo aswell as changing the lighting, the body language and facial expressions.
