Recently i have also been thinking about making a few changes in my magazine as i have realised a few things which have been something to improve.
The first thing is to be able to find a different Main Artist for the front cover as i have been thinking and taking in other peoples opinions about Deanna being a little bit too serious for my magazine. In the previous posts i have made it clear that Deanna was someone which had been styled in the correct way which the way she was dressed and as well as having natural make up. However after looking through even more Pop Magazines and researching deeper into my target audience i have been able to see the difference between someone who does not look as serious as Deanna does.

I have chosen to completely the girl which will be staring the front cover of my magazine. I have chosen Jade, who in my opinion and a lot of others suits my magazine a lot more than Deanna. After receiving this type of feedback it has allowed to me to make improvements and therefore i am now happy to take the photographs of jade which will be the ones i use for my final piece of magazine.

i also think that by changing my main artist i am now able to see the difference between the two girls and compare them to see why i have made these sudden changes. Its now time to take photographs of Jade for my magazine.

As mentioned before i will now give out the questionnaire for the names of the support artists in order to get the opinions from the younger girls which are my target audience.I will be giving out this questionnaire to some of the girls in my school and some which are outside of school. I do think that doing questionnaires will allow me to gain a little bit of information from my target audience and therefore this should also help me when seeing their own opinions. The questionnaire will look something like this:

Research and Planning.

I have been able to do a little more research to do with the front cover of the pop magazines. These magazines are only a few examples of what i mean by the main  artists not being too serious with their facial expressions as well as the way they are dressed. The Girls are pretty much showing off their smile and looking very innocent, young and full of energy. This is something which i have to take into consideration as its important to make sure that i attract the right audience with my magazine. I have also been thinking about the different colours that the artists wear as this is also very important.
      

I have decided to compare these 3 magazine with 3 pictures i have took of Deanna just to show that there is a bit of this serious attitude that i get from Deanna.

Drafting & Planning.

When it comes to making the double page spread, it is important that it looks attractive aswell as being full of interesting facts and answers the audience want to know about my Main Artist.  I think the articles have to based on what the audience would like to know the most, this will encourage them to buy the magazine and receive the exact answers they want from any musical artists. It is also important to remember these little details as its exactly what attracts my target group because they do like little things which shows a lot of interest in how its presented. Presentation sometimes can affect how someone feels about reading something. Especially a double page spread filled with a lot of information, it should be easy to pick out what is interesting from the rest of the text on the page. A lot of the times, on any interviews pop magazines like to pick out interesting quotes and make them standing out from the text to make sure that the girls see what question was asked to get this specific answer.

I think it will always be easier to  have boys on the double page spread interview because girls have a lot of crushes on young artist. However because my main artist is a girl this doesnt mean that she wouldnt get as much attention as any boys as girls will see her as a role modle. It also important to use a easy to read font aswell as different sizes and colours to underline any bits that can interest the girls even more.

I find this quite a good example as its very easy to identify the little think that the producer has done to make little bits of the article stand out. I think the way the background is grey makes all the colours match in a certain way. There are things in pinks and purples which straight away stand out and they are the point that the reader will notice first.
The pictures are also very important because you're able to observe exactly whats going on. In this double page spread its clear that the group must be talking about the importance of keeping fit, training and working out. I havent even read anything and can already tell from the picture.

Ideas for track lists:

I have been a bit more creative and actually placed the first 5 songs onto a CD cover. I think i have only just started with the first 5 for her. As obviously she is new to the music industry therefore she would not have as many songs as others would. I think because this is her first album, its always quite good to start with only a few songs to introduce her voice to the public.

When coming up with some of these song names i have tried to have a bit of a link with her artist profile. In the previous posts when describing this girls past and the way she succeeded so much, these song names match some of the things she has been through as well as having an exciting future. I think this is quite important as it already sort of allows you to see why she has made these particular songs and why she has given them some of these names. It always something which young girls look into as the song always gives out quite an influential message.

Research into Similar Products.

I have started a Questionaire which i will soon give out to some younger girls. This questionaire will basically influence me to pick what name to use for the support artist. As mentioned in previous posts, there are only around 5 names which have really made my decision difficult.
The 5 names are:

• JME

• The Krystals

• A Vision

• 3rd Generation

• The Code

Obviously each of these names will have their own font and style to make it even more interesting. However i will be designing the type of font and colours as soon as one band name gets picked.

The reason why i think this could be a really good idea for me is because i feel that ill be able to get a bit of information from my target audience of what name particularly interested them the most. It's also beneficial because  i could then receive feedback to see if there are any other options, which my target audience have in mind, that i have not yet thought of.

Having this opportunity, after collecting the results from this questionnaire, i will be able to see any problems i could have had with the names if i did chose them myself. This is another thing which is great as it allows me to see how much more audience i could gain and loose.

Organisation

Here are a few more photographs which i have taken of the girl which will be on my main cover of the magazine. Thee lighting in this drama room has given the picture a bit of a pink colour to the photo, however i think that its is quite nice as i have said before that pink is a colour wich attracts girls attentions especially when the whole magazine will have a bit of pink theme throughout most of it.

I have been able to show how different positions work best.I have tried to tell Deanna to face different directions to see if there is a certain photo which could look better than the other one. In this case i think it look good facing both left or right. I also asked her to smile because i mentioned previously that a smile can be very important as it is a welcoming feature, its something which could draw the audience even more to the magazine.

Deanna is also not wearing any make up which can show a lot to younger girls. It can be something which girls can look up to as there is a huge natural look going on in this picture. Little things like this can get easily noticed by younger girl who are inspired by certain people and therefore that is something to also take notice of when taking some photos.

The clothing that Deanna has on are very simple yet match her features very well. Even though the colour black can be seen as quite boring and dull, i honestly think that it can also make a girl come across quite sexy and elegant. Deanna has dark hair, dark eyes and eyebrows and also dark painted nails therefore wearing something dark shows this connotation and makes everything look perfectly matching.
